LogoTV Channel Added to Penn State TV Lineup
On-campus residents at Penn State University Park now have a new channel to select when it comes to TV viewing options. LogoTV (channel 163), an LGBT-themed television station, was recently added to the Penn State TV channel lineup in response to a student request.
“My friends and I always wondered why Penn State didn't have LogoTV,” says Ricky Watts, a sophomore living on campus. “One day, I finally emailed Housing about adding it to the list of channels. Within a few days, they had already added it to the lineup."
Penn State regularly evaluates the TV service and channels it provides, involving student representatives from the Association of Residence Hall Students (ARHS). Students can contact Housing any time with comments or suggestions about the TV service.
“We strive to be responsive to student requests, and when this request came in I worked with Comcast to get the Logo channel added to our lineup,” says Chad Henning, assistant director for Housing – Special Projects.
Penn State Housing’s on-campus cable TV service includes a wide selection of high-definition (HD) channels, standard definition (SD) channels, and digital music channels.
